THE BIBLE 4 LIFE is the name we have chosen to share our enthusiasm about the Bible with you! It’s 400 years since King James I of England authorised a group of scholars to translate our Bible into English, and this royal request has been known as the “Authorised Version” ever since. It was written at the same time as Shakespeare was writing in Stratford Upon Avon, and both used thee and thou in their common speech. If you prefer a more modern style do find a recent translation such as:

The English Standard Version
